The Holidays are over and its time to get back to work!
I took nearly a month off from working with my photography.
I am back and making big plans for 2010!!
I went to the barn thursday morning and took photos of horses in the snow. The temp was -10 with the windchill
factor that day!!

Here is a smilebox slide show of the November Photo a day Challenge. I only made it 15 days because i went out of town November 16-22. I enjoyed doing this and look forward to the next challenge!
I have been a member of the Equine Photographers network for 4 years. I have learned so much from this strong community of Professionals. Along the way I have enjoyed participating in the monthly challenges. This month is a Photo a Day. This is indeed a challenge since I do not live on the farm where I ride. I plan to visit Germania Stables and other local farms as well as get extremely creative in order to continue the Photo a Day Challenge while in Texas at the NARHA conference for 6 days!! Stay tuned!

I returned to do a second Farm call with Gabi of Habibi Arabian Sport Horses and her wonderful stallion Focus Aveeon.
He truely is the sweetest stallion ive ever met. He is also a handsome young man and is great at showing it!
This visit was undersaddle and braided. The fall color in the background was great.
Im begining my 6th year in business here in Missouri. While I do offer other types of photography, my greatest love is Equine Photography.
I have photographed horse shows from Springfield to St. Louis. I have done several Senior portrait sessions that include
horses as well as several Farm calls. I have spent many hours just hanging out in the pasture with the horses i see the most often. The painting in my blog banner is one of my favorites and is a memorial to a truely wonderful Tennessee Walker named Hogan. The painting is titled “Hogan and his girls”.
I truely love capturing the spirit and personality of a horse as well as that special bond between a horse and its owner.

Sunday night was an exciting night for me. I did a farm call with a beautiful Arabian stallion named Focus Aveeon.
The first visit was in halter and at liberty. The next visit will be braided and undersaddle. I cant wait!
We went to the Soldier show and fireworks on post at Fort Leonard Wood. Always lots of fun.
